Hummingbird and snow

Hummingbird and Sammamish snow

This little hummingbird is having some lunch during Sammamish's first decent snowfall on January 14, 2012. He must have been very hungry as I was able to get the camera within 12 inches or so of him. Note the water droplets on his feathers.

Hi, we recently moved to Washington (living in Sammamish). We enjoyed a large number of hummingbirds at the feeders placed in our garden. I thought they would migrate now that fall has arrived, but it seems that we have a few that are still with us.
