Today I was just driving to find out if it was possible to see how I may have to get to work and never made it to the hospital. I took many pictures, driving very slowly and it looks like almost something like in the movies " The Day After Tomorrow. On the bright side, the winter has come, and families can actually spend time together, beyond their control, and are mostly forced to stay home. But driving in this weather is a need, and not a want. The best thing to do is to stay home and stay safe.I was driving from Olympia to Lacey today, and this was around 1430.It is always good to have some blankets, water, medications, hats and gloves, snacks, candles, flashlights, kitty litter, a shovel and de-icer available and of course not to forget a first aid kit an a warning triangle and the cell phone is a must.Snowchains are a plus also. If the car has not been winterized, at this time it will be more complicated, as long the snow blocks the commute. Many drivers are driving too fast and too close and must learn to be safe first and adjust their driving habits and experience, with the environmental conditions and their vehicles mechanical capabilities and current condition. It is cheaper to stay home until the roads are clear is the least to repeat myself regarding this matter. Don't speed and drive, don't drink, drive in the snow, Stay Alive !
