This weekend weather provided the opportunity to photograph the night sky. Photographing particular objects in the night sky can be a “Roll of the dice” most of the time. All factors need to come together at the same time. This weekend it all came together, a new moon (darkest skies), clear weather with no wind and objects of interest in clear view. Venus, Jupiter and the open star cluster Pleiades (M45) gave us a rare alignment in the western sky.
