The hummingbirds have been here for a couple of weeks(Whidbey Island), but last weekend was the first days of hummingbirds AND sunshine! Got a few good shots.

Great shot!! ; ) We're on Whidbey too. We've had 4 hummer's winter-over the last two years. Talk about stress! Making sure the nectar doesn't freeze. We've got about 20 or more hanging around the 4 feeders now.

The Anna's hummingbird is a year-round resident in Washington. The Rufous (pictured here) is a migrant that times it's arrival with flowering currants, among other early sources of nectar. In any case, great shot Kathy!
