When my fiance and I moved into this house three years ago, we figured it would be a good investment. We thought that we'd fix it up a little bit, live in it for a few years or so and then sell it and move into a much better, more permanent home. Well, with our wedding coming up in June that we have been trying to save money for, remodeling has been put on the back burner. Especially since things have really been starting to fall apart in the house. We recently discovered that the shower in our bedroom leaks massive amounts of water into the garage below, as well as the toilet in the main bathroom. So, we can only use the toilet in our bedroom and the shower in the main bathroom. Let me tell you, it definitely makes getting ready for work a challenge in the morning. Not to mention, we always have to keep our bedroom super clean for when company comes over and they need to use the bathroom. We also have some wiring problems in the house that worries me. Our kitchen has never been remodeled since probably the 70s when the house was built and it makes me sad everytime I have to go in there. The appliances are old, the cabinetts are boring and gross and the lighting is poor and probably dangerous. On top of everything, our house was burglarized twice in a two month period last year. It just seems like life has been working against us lately and we could really use some good fortune to start off our new life together. With all the money we have to spend on home repairs and our wedding, a new kitchen would be such a blessing. It would be one less worry off our minds.
