time to take down the bird feeders!

Annual bear sighting in Longbranch

We have had bears on our property in Longbranch for at least tent years. This is probably one of the young ones that Mama bear used to bring to climb the trees near our house. Every year at the first sighting, we know its time to let the birds fend for themselves as soon as we see one in the yard. We have coexisted peacefully for at least ten years, and know if we don't feed them, that can continue.
