Family traditions strained

My husband and I bought our house a few years ago thinking we could work on the home together with our four children. Soon after starting a few projects we realized we were in way over our heads with time and cost. Our time problems are my husband and I are taking online class to set a good example for our children and to hopefully work our way to a better life. My husband is also serving our country by means of the Navy. Between deployments and my constant fight with skin cancer it is very hard to find time to work on the house as well as be there for my childrens needs. Our kitchen is our biggest problem leaving us with not knowing where to start or what to do. Since buying this home we have gone without heat for over a year because of some base board heaters started to over heat melting and smoking the walls. We have not been able to all sit down at a table to have dinner as there is no room in the kitchen. This has hurt our family greatly. We are a family of six living in a 1100 square foot home. My children have had to sleep on the livingroom floor, and have shared one bedroom for much of our time in this home. Having one bathroom is hard enough, what we would really love is to be able to sit together at dinner again. Please we need help.

Sounds like this family needs and deserves some TLC.. Time to give back to a family that gives their all to others.

I believe that this is the most deserving family for this. It is about time the community give something back to this family, they give so much to everyone in what they do. They are the first on the sceen and last to leave with all smiles.

I agree, this family is in need! Their kitchen is not big enough to have both parents and children sit at the same table. There is no heat in the kitchen either. This family never misses an opportunity to help or give to others. They deserve help.

This family gives so much to their community despite moms fight with Melanoma and Dad being in the Navy. Coaching youth teams, Cancer Relay for life, and Make a Wish Foundation. They need help now and I can't think of a more deserving family.

I would have to say that this family is wonderful. I know them and they give so much to everyone else, including the Make a Wish foundation. These people deserve a thank you for all they do in our community on the Island.
