We don't normally see these kinds of summer lightning storms but they are always eye-catching displays when they do happen. Grabbed my camera and set the shutter to open for 15 seconds at a time...wow.

When: Around 9:45 pm
Where: Whidbey Island, Dugualla Heights area looking west
Why: Because it is a rare sight around here
