I spent the night atop Johnson Ridge (not far from Stevens Pass) photographing the very clear night skies. The morning's sunrise was nothing short of spectacular as seen in this photo. One of my very favorite morning scenes is like this, valley below filled with fog, and I'm standing high above on a mountain with nothing but mountain peaks sticking up all around and blue skies overhead! Wow, I love living in the Pacific Northwest!
