HERO House in Bellevue, an ICCD Clubhouse for helping Adults who have a Mental Illness Diagnosis, is participating in the NAMIWalks2008 this coming May, and we will walk approx. 3 Miles for Donations; NAMIWalks for the 'mind of America'. HERO House is a fairly new Clubhouse in Bellevue, WA, and has approximately 130 Members; all are welcome! We have PSAs on KOMO's Northwest Afternoon almost annually, and would like to invite new Members and/or Volunteers, as well as NAMIWalks Walkers to join us in our Venture(s): HERO House holds a 'Work Ordered Day' 5 days a week and Socials; 'Outings', etc., usually, 3 days a week. We produce a free bi-monthly Newsletter and the Clubhouse is divided into (2) Units; the Business Unit and the Hospitality Unit... We have an extensive CVRC, which incorporates some 18 computers as well as digital cameras, etc., all for Staff and Member use. Our Staff of 6 or so and Volunteers work right alongside the Members, all to make HERO House run much like a Business and the Membership comes in as much and as often as we wish. The NAMIWalks is an Annual event, run by NAMI Washington and there are several Offices in the Greater Seattle Area. Please remember that Date; Sign-in at 9 a.m., Magnuson Park, Seattle, Sat., May 10. You can contact HERO House at: (425) 614-1282 for more info....
