This story was featured on KOMOs problem solvers about a month ago. An SPU student with muscular dystrophy has decided to put on a benefit concert to raise awareness for his disease. When the Seattle Pacific campus gave approval for the concert to be performed in their gym, the grammy nominated band Pillar was booked. Since then, the school has backed out, leaving the event without a venue. Due to KOMOs problem solvers story, Fremont Studios in Seattle offered its venue space. This young man is not benefiting financially from this event other than getting satisfaction of raising awareness to his disease. Right now there hasnt been that many tickets sold and it would be great if more people would come and support him and the research of the disease. The event is taking place on Friday April 11th at 6:30 pm at the Fremont studios in Seattle. Tickets are $15 for SPU students and $18 for non. The website is http://www.parentprojectmd.org/site/Calendar?view=Detail&id=101341 Any help in supporting this concert and this young man with a big heart is greatly appreciated.
