i've always had pets, including dogs. My husband hasn't. Right before he came home from Iraq he started expressing interest in getting a dog, especially a chocolate lab. He would send pictures of chocolate lab puppies to my email and my cell phone, but regardless, I didn't think it would go anywhere, after all, we had been married for almost five years and still no pets. Well, I was wrong. While I was at the mall, I gave him a call and he answered the cell phone stating 'you scared choco.' Yes, he had gone and gotten a pup while I was out. I guess we were both shopping.

There were strict rules when Choco (sounds like loco, not chalko) came home. He wasn't allowed on the furniture, so no sitting on the couch with us and definitely no sleeping on the bed with us.

Well let me tell you, the man who made those rules... he was the first to give in to the little chubby fur ball!

Now choco not only sits on the couch with us, he sleeps on our heads! Yes, sleeping at the end of the bed is not good enough for this pup! He demands to sleep ABOVE our pillows! So we have scoot down so he can fit!!

He is now my husbands best pal, and let me tell you, those two are BOTH excited to see one another every day! They are inseparable!

But who can blame them? I think they are both the most wonderful inclusions to my life!

And how can anyone remain mad, even at themselves, when you get to come home to someone who loves you without judgment?
