After the wind and rain during the early hours of Monday Dec 17th, I came home (Alki Avenue, west of the Alki Beach Park- West Seattle) from working graveyard to find the entire walking path, along with many picnic tables and benches surrounded by water. After putting on some rain boots, I walked towards the stairways that would normally take you to the beach to find that the water was 4-5 inches deep... on the sidewalk! Normal high tide puts the water at least 6 inches, if not more, below the top of the cement walls.
