My Daughter and some of the donations we brought

6yo asks for donations instead of gifts.

My daughter turned 6 years old last week. I gave her the choice between a book exchange or donating to a local cat rescue for her birthday party. She chose to help the cats. We had a huge party at the Kent Bouncy place with 20 of her friends. The amount of items they donated was astounding! I'm amazed at how generous our friends and family are!

On May 22, we delivered 68lbs of dry cat food, 25 lbs of litter, 26 cans/pouches of wet food, 4 blankets, a scratching post, numerous toys and almost $60 to South County Cats http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/southcountycats.html. They are a wonderful local organization that is working hard to spay and neuter feral and tame cats. They donate cat food to low income families and foster rescued cats.

My daughter is ecstatic that she did something so good for poor kitties that help.
