Whoever said it was Amanita pantherina is probably spot on. There should be conifers nearby.

Yeah I sometimes think I may pick some varieties and bring them to the mushroom place to be analyzed. But I forget where the place is and never seem to get around to it..

Nice pic indeed. I just get worked up about folks just grabbing
shrooms and thinking they're ok to eat.
Eating wild fungus is a good way to kill yerself if yer uneducated.
