Black Bear Being Cautious

Black Bear On Squak Mountain

Was hiking with my dogs on Squak Mountain and ran into a bear. I think we startled him when we came around the corner. I had four dogs with me, the two little dogs would not stop barking and trying to run towards him, and the two big ones started to get curious and so I had to put them on there leash. As I was trying to slowly walk away, I think the barking was making him angry and for a minute I thought he was going to try and chase after us. In the end, he just went about his business as we went about ours. After getting several pictures of the bear of course.

It's a good thing there is still wildlife on the mountain, despite the controversy surrounding it. Anyone who is familiar with Squak will know exactly what I mean.

You got lucky, but what a sight to see besides.
