Tim McGraw almost fist fights fan

Channel: On the Scene

I attended the Tim McGraw concert at the White River Amphitheater tonight
and something out of the ordinary happened. In the middle of the song
"Indian Outlaw" Tim started yelling for security to get a man out of the
crowd. Then he started to pull him up on stage by the strap of his wife
beater tank and out of the crowd himself until the security guards made it
to the stage to help. Tim and about 4 other security officers
not-so-gently pulled a not-so-light man out of the crowd and dropped him
on the stage. When the man got up, he seemed ready fight Tim. The security
guards had to get in between them and take the man off stage. It is
uncertain what started this to begin with, but I think this is something
people would like to know about. The man was hanging out outside of the
venue after the concert, so my boyfriend and I went over to talk to him.
He smelled strongly of alcohol, so I am sure this factored in to the
earlier events.

Apparently, the man wanted to get up onto the stage and was shoving his way forward when the crowd began to shove back. He grabbed a woman by her hair and hit her sister. This is when Tim got angry and pulled him out of the crowd. Go Tim!

I'm not sure what the man was doing down in front, it seems that people are saying he was being obnoxious and rude, which may be. But I do want to set one thing straight. My husband and I left right after that song and happened to see the man....

I met the man after the concert. He was told by security that he was kicked out because he jumped on stage, which everyone knows is not true. Not sure if he was acting up or not in the audience, but he was NOT drunk when I talked to him...

Looks to me that Tim grabbed the wrong guy by the shirt before letting go and grabbing the bigger guy. The bigger guy jumped on stage with the help of Tim & Security leading me to believe the big guy thought he was getting invited for some fun.

I was there and the guy was pushing and trampling on people. He did punch one woman and pulled another's hair. He was trying to make his way to the stage and was falling on people. Tim saw what happen with the one female and asked for security.

I was a fan of both Tim and Faith - but their recent collective behaviour leaves me speechless. Tim had no right grabbing the gentleman - security is there for a reason. Both Tim and Faith have recently demonstrated anger issues.

So macho man McGraw pulls a guy up on stage then pushes him in his back....looks like assault to me......then Timmy raises his fist while hiding behind his stage hands.....pathetic

Thank you Krhappy for bringing to light some of the truth. I talked to him for a good 5 minutes after this, and not one whiff of alcohol came from him. I think Tim may have over reacted on this, since alot of people were pushing down by to the stage.

There is no mosh pit and there was no security. It was Tim's stage hands who helped Tim pull him on stage. Security is at fault for letting all those people in front - it blocked their own access. LiveNation has horrible security.

I think Tim was in the right the whole time, he was trying to get him out of there, because he had already created a disturbance and it was easier to get him out of there by pulling him on stage. He was drunk and everyone could tell that on the floor

As for Security, It's Tims' own security team that is at fault! The way they have the extension of the stage in front setup, and Tim wanting to be close to his fans limits security to ZERO about 60-80 feet in front of the stage! Give Me A Break!
