I attended the Tim McGraw concert at the White River Amphitheater tonight
and something out of the ordinary happened. In the middle of the song
"Indian Outlaw" Tim started yelling for security to get a man out of the
crowd. Then he started to pull him up on stage by the strap of his wife
beater tank and out of the crowd himself until the security guards made it
to the stage to help. Tim and about 4 other security officers
not-so-gently pulled a not-so-light man out of the crowd and dropped him
on the stage. When the man got up, he seemed ready fight Tim. The security
guards had to get in between them and take the man off stage. It is
uncertain what started this to begin with, but I think this is something
people would like to know about. The man was hanging out outside of the
venue after the concert, so my boyfriend and I went over to talk to him.
He smelled strongly of alcohol, so I am sure this factored in to the
earlier events.

I'm not sure what the man was doing down in front, it seems that people are saying he was being obnoxious and rude, which may be. But I do want to set one thing straight. My husband and I left right after that song and happened to see the man....

Love a man that stands up for a woman!

I met the man after the concert. He was told by security that he was kicked out because he jumped on stage, which everyone knows is not true. Not sure if he was acting up or not in the audience, but he was NOT drunk when I talked to him...

if you can't stand the mosh pit, get a seat !

If anyone has the names of the woman who was being harassed, or the man who Tim pulled onstage, please let me know. I am a journalist and would like to interview them: cowboysgetme@yahoo.com.

Guess I know what to do to get on stage with Tim! :) What a lucky catch that Faith has!

I was standing right next to him.He is friend of mine. everyone in the front were all getting pushed, he's big.He was pushed onto the chairs right behind me (which nobody was siiting in).He wasn't drunk and didn't punch anyone.I even took pictures.

I was there and that dude was totally drunk and maybe on meth! He was slamming into people and hit a woman

Looks to me that Tim grabbed the wrong guy by the shirt before letting go and grabbing the bigger guy. The bigger guy jumped on stage with the help of Tim & Security leading me to believe the big guy thought he was getting invited for some fun.

I was there and the guy was pushing and trampling on people. He did punch one woman and pulled another's hair. He was trying to make his way to the stage and was falling on people. Tim saw what happen with the one female and asked for security.

Who cares....

I was a fan of both Tim and Faith - but their recent collective behaviour leaves me speechless. Tim had no right grabbing the gentleman - security is there for a reason. Both Tim and Faith have recently demonstrated anger issues.

So macho man McGraw pulls a guy up on stage then pushes him in his back....looks like assault to me......then Timmy raises his fist while hiding behind his stage hands.....pathetic

Thank you Krhappy for bringing to light some of the truth. I talked to him for a good 5 minutes after this, and not one whiff of alcohol came from him. I think Tim may have over reacted on this, since alot of people were pushing down by to the stage.

My friend and I stood right next to the guy, he was pushing his way up to the front of the stage, being a big man he probably stepped on a few people. He appeared VERY intoxicated to me!!!

There is no mosh pit and there was no security. It was Tim's stage hands who helped Tim pull him on stage. Security is at fault for letting all those people in front - it blocked their own access. LiveNation has horrible security.

so where are the pictures?

now thats a real man stopping his concert to come to the defense of a woman kudos tim!! I was there and boy did that impress me. way to go!

the youtube video at the bottom of the komo news was my video...it was awesome! tim is the man! i love timmy!!!

Mr. Mc Graw was a gentleman and was protecting two women. This man pulled a woman down by her and punched her sister. Believe me I know because, my sister's head still hurts today and I have a large bruise on my thigh and muscle spasms that prove it

He said today on the Wolf that he was sober. Ya and I'm the pope! On the Wolf, he said his name was Marcus. When he started pushing the crowd, the crowd pushed back and then people started tumbling. That's when Tim asked for security and pulled

on the stage to get him out of the crowd before someone got hurt. Tim stopped one guy from getting in a fight with him telling him that security would also throw him out if he got a fight with "Marcus" and it wasn't worth it.

I think Tim was in the right the whole time, he was trying to get him out of there, because he had already created a disturbance and it was easier to get him out of there by pulling him on stage. He was drunk and everyone could tell that on the floor

I was pushed out of the way by that idiot and I am a great grandmother. He was just falling through the crowd and he WAS drunk. Yes, others pushed him, but only after he pushed first. I thought Tim did great!

ijust do not see a man like tim being the starter it seems to me all of yall that say you talked to the guy kicked out was probably drunk themselves and thats why they did not smell it. the friend with pics ya right scammmer.

I met the guy in the parking lot. He was screaming and yelling that he was the guy that got kicked out and that he was the best part of the show. Totally wasted. Way to go Tim.

To Canadian, you better hope that Tim McGraw or anybody witnessing you being beating comes to your assistance soon and not wait. Everybody has a right to stop violent, be it artists, entertainers, blue collar workers, securities, make no difference.

Its called a publicity stunt!

This was a great show, Tim knows how to please a croud,I have been to a lot of concerts and never seen anyone spend as much time signing authograph as Tim did. As far as this incident, He handled it the way a real cowboy would.

Yoy go Tim you absolutely did the right thing. Concerts are meant to be enjoyed not having rowdy or drunken fans ruin or interupt it for women or men in the audience. Hope the lady was ok!! Nice to know there are real men out there.

right on

I think Tim M did the right thing. He did not over react. It was great to see Tim do something. So what if he got mad. It is his show and stage.Everyone gets angry or they aren't human. People that drink like that never think they are drunk.

I am rather appalled at Tim McGraw's behavior which I observed on the news. His wife's behavior is also questionable, in recent months. I can certainly see why they don't seem to be up for any popularity awards lately.

I am proud of Tim Mcgraw for taking a stand to help a woman. He is a true gentelman. Go Tim!!

I thought Tim showed great restraint by not punching the guy in the face once he was pulled on stage. He did what I would like to think any gentleman would do... remove a treat without excessive violence. The fat guy got lucky.

Typical of an arrogant country singer like Tim McGraw thinking he owns the world and will take matters into his own hands. Wow Tim's a real tuff guy when security is around. You go to a concert to have fun........right? Tim's a joke with a huge ego!!

tim did the right thing seeing a woman punched and anothers haried pulled i would of done the same thing

As for Security, It's Tims' own security team that is at fault! The way they have the extension of the stage in front setup, and Tim wanting to be close to his fans limits security to ZERO about 60-80 feet in front of the stage! Give Me A Break!

This stuff happens at concerts all the time. If you country folk don't like it maybe you should stay home and watch NASCAR. If Marcus would have smacked a couple of guys would Tim have done the same thing?...doubt it. Not impressed Tim.....not at all

My husband and I have been recovering alcoholics for 8 years, no alcohol in our blood. I still say the man was not drunk, believe me I would have smelled it (the smell turns my stomach). EVERYONE was pushing... it's part of the concert experience.

who ever this Yvette is writing the comments about Tim and his wife . Yvette is ignorant. She probably doesn't go to the concerts and especially to stand up front. She has no idea what she is talking about and should therefore stop talking.

Had it been me I would have done the same thing. Guys dont hit girls its a simple rule that I and every other decent person has known since childhood. So for those bashing Tims actions just because you dont like him, GROW UP

Tim had every right to pull that guy out and kick him out of the show if he wanted. He didn't hurt the guy. Everyone that says this was "typical cowboy" behavior needs to go to a rap show. The guy would have gotten a little more roughed than that.

They should ban Country music.....and cowboy hats

Thats what happens when you mix an ego the size of Texas a redneck, country music and alcohol. I'm sure somewhere in the audience someones dog ran away, their wife left them, and they lost everything they own. Hey that sounds like a country song..LOL

Hey farmers....we here in the city know a publicity stunt when we see one. Tim and Faith aint no country folk anymore. They may still perform as such and keep a home in rural parts but, they each have one foot in hollywood as well. wise up people!

Too bad Tim wasn't on the Tri-Met Max train when the girl was assaulted and no other passengers would help!

Go Tim! A true southern gentleman taking care of the ladies! if you don't like him stop reading and watching! I've been to eight shows...never anything like this but always an awesome show!!

As a former battered wife, there is no excuse for a man to hit a women, drunk or sober. Thanks Tim for being a true man!!

I THINK TIM DID THE RIGHT THING, I BET FAITH IS PROUD OF HER MAN. I AM PROUD OF YOU TIM.

To Angel A real cowboy give me a break that guy is so far from a real cowboy it isn't even funny. I don't know to many cowboys that wear leather cowboy hats, bell bottom jeans, and wife beater tank tops. You want real cowboys go to a Rodeo......

This maybe a concert experience but it still does not give anyone the right to hit and pull someones hair. Tim was in the right. Also it was Tim's stage hands that helped him pull the guy on stage not security.

i wish marcus would have knocked tim out

i wish marcus would have knocked tim out, that would have been a better story

WAY TO GO TIM !!!! As a former battered wife also, I agree No one should be allowed to hit a woman drunk or sober. I am proud to say I am a FAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a brown kitty.

Any guy who hits women deserves whatever happens to them. To all of the people bashing Tim they are probably jealous because he is sucessful, while they are living in the mommy's basement.

"gul`li>ble, adj. easily deceived" Just thought I would give everyone the definition in case you all forgot. Wake up people (especially women) this was done for the attention and publicity and thats it. Oh Timmy your my hero...... give me a break

i think that tim had every right to do what he did! he was protecting 2 women and i respect that. GO TIM!!

No one deserves to be asaulted including men. Remember people Tim raised his fist also. So lets stop with the "thats a true cowboy", "what a gentlemen", "taking care of the ladies", "way to go Tim". Our soldiers are my heros not Tim McGraw....wake up

To RealGentlemen It has nothing to do with his success or jealousy......who cares. Like Please Respond said Tim also raised his fist. The measure of a true man is to be man enough to walk away. Look at the big picture not just what you want to see

If you are a real person and saw some one hurting some one else you would jump in and stop it too. i know I would. And oh yea I'm a sailor who has been in Iraq more than 4 times. Thats a total of over 3 years added up. Heros are every where!!!

From what I saw and heard, Tim acted appropriately and I applaude his taking action.

Who cares how about some real news

i honestly dont think Tim would have brought the guy up onstage unless that guy was truly being rude and disrespectful. Its awesome that there are actually guys out there that will stand up for women.

Yes Tim did raise a fist but he restrained himself. I think both him and faith acted appropriately. If someone were to grab my husband she would get much more than a lecture. They are both great singers and I really like both of them alot.

all of you saying that he intentionally hurt the woman are wrong! i was there standing 2 feet from him and that is not what happened. he was clearly bein pushed by other fans. what may have looked like abuse was simply an accident.

tim mcgraw is a great guy for stopping his concert to help those two women...im glad he kicked that guy out...obviously he wasnt the to hear the music...tim is my new hero!!

Ok, i will end it right here. To all who said Tim was wrong, or is stupid, or isnt a cowboy, get a clue, please. "Cowboy" can be many different things, and two, He had all the right. Im a redneck too, i wouldve done the same thing. Stupid People...

Apparently, the man wanted to get up onto the stage and was shoving his way forward when the crowd began to shove back. He grabbed a woman by her hair and hit her sister. This is when Tim got angry and pulled him out of the crowd. Go Tim!
