Covered trail provides micro views

The first mile of the upper Dungeness River, SW of Sequim, is covered over with mighty fir and cedar. There are few views of the peaks. So to compensate, the trail provides wonderful tiny worlds, right at your feet. In the shot with the tiniest flowers, the larger was 1 inch across, so go figure the smaller! And the lighting, wow. The trail stays flat for three miles and is wide enough for two couples to hold hands side-by-side and is so romantic, they do just that. It then splits into two directions (Upper Dungeness or Royal Basin) where you have to come down to earth.
