Waning Moon

Night Sky Objects

Could not locate comet ISON this morning with a bright moon
and high clouds. Did capture a few shots of the moon taken with a C102-HD 4 inch refractor (1/320th sec. ISO 1600)and a
5-sec. unguided exposure using a NIKON D3000 and a 200mm lens showing the belt of Orion (near the top of the frame) and M42 at the bottom of the frame. Close to 20 degrees when
these pictures were taken.
