My alien tomato? ... Cool but weird

This has got to be one of the weirdest things I've seen. I bought this tomato and it's getting on the older side. I noticed a couple bumps show up under the skin a few days back. As of last night, the number of bumps has substantially increased and one of them SPROUTED!! I can’t wait to see if anymore of the bumps do the same!

Hi Scott, I cant find where to add more photos for this "article" so I'm creating another. I'm going to call it Mama Tomato.

I am adding 3 more pics from today. I decided it was time to help it along, and break the skin. 14 total so far, and 2 more possible ones deep. Not sure how to water it yet! But, this is so cool.

I will. The “bumps” clearly look like little cotyledons through the transparent skin. I think the only way to water it (due to waxy skin) is to cut into it, which could introduce bacteria and fungi. If I leave it uncut, maybe it will harden vs rot?

The seeds inside are germinating. Soon, it will be a self-contained tomato garden, though, it will still need water. Show us more pix when more seeds sprout, please.
