Hear the 12th Man in Tacloban!

These are our video and photo of The 12th (wo)man (Therese Zapanta-Verzosa from Auburn, Washington) in Tacloban taken on January 28, 2014. Tacloban is one of the worst-hit cities in the Philippines destroyed by Typhoon Haiyan, the most devastating typhoon in recorded history. The video and photo show the survivors' response to the Seahawks' show of solidarity when they carried the Philippine flag pre-game right after Typhoon Haiyan destroyed the City of Tacloban Philippines. The typhoon killed over 6,000 people.

With an improvised 12th Banner made from a simple bath towel and cut-out numbers, these children who survived the typhoon, most of them orphans now are praying for their team to win and praying that they are kept in the players' hearts and minds during the Superbowl. GO SEAHAWKS!

Thank you,

This is such a touching and awe-inspiring picture. To see these kids cheer on our team despite the devatation around them is amazing! Speaks a thousand words. God bless you all. Congratulations, Empower Philippines.
