For the past month Kelsey Creek Park has become home to an army of orange-vested workers, gigantic back hoes, noisy (but efficient) trucks bringing in tons of river rock, and most interestingly - dozens of tree trunks (with their gnarly roots still attached) which are used along the banks of the river which is being created before our very eyes!
Very soon, the present creek (which is narrow, overgrown and an obstacle course for returning salmon) - will be diverted into the brand new hand & machine-hewn riverbed!
This is an exciting, grand undertaking. I am surprised that the media hasn't been watching.
