I saw the other posts about Matthew Pritchett on the web. What I have to say takes more than the 250 characters allowed in the responses. I need for you all to know this.
When I didn't have any place to go... Tammy and Butch asked; "How long do you need to stay?" When I was hungry and didn't have anything to eat, they asked me "What would you like to eat?"
And when my sixteen yr old son was so out of control that I couldn't handle taking care of him and no one else wanted him.... Tammy and Butch said... "Let us try."
I'm not going to give Tammy and Butch money because their son died. I'm going to give them money because they are good people who deserve to be helped when they need it the most.
Don't we all deserve to be helped when we find ourselves in difficult situations?
Matt was a wonderful kid. Matt was a stupid 16 yr old kid just like most of us. When I was 16 and I got into the car and started driving when I was way too drunk to drive.... I am thankful and blessed that I did not kill myself and others. I am no better than Matt or Tammy or Butch. We all have our issues to deal with.
I only wish I had called Matt more often just to say 'Hi'.
Please don't leave negative posts on this one. Can we please keep it positive and remember the good times. We all have opportunities in life to step up to the plate and go over and beyond the call of duty to show someone that we care. I don't have alot of money to give, but what very little I can, I happily give because I know Tammy and Butch deserve and they need the help right now.
I wish all of you peace, happiness and joy. Life is too short. Tell the person next to you how much you love them. Don't let your child walk out the room without telling them that they are special, unique angels sent from heaven.
Laugh with your friends as much as you can. Life is an adventure to be lived, and it's your choice how you live it.
