Man runs 250 miles for grandson

My father in law (Bob Satko) is running 250 miles in the pigtails 200 mile endurance challenge for my son (2.5 years old) Blake Robison. Blake was diagnosed this past year with a rare genetic blood disease called Fanconi Anemia. Fanconi Anemia leads to bone marrow failure and patients have high risks of cancer like leukemia and head and neck cancers. Each year there are approximately 31 people born in the US with this genetic disorder. Currently there is no cure for Fanconi Anemia and the average life span is about 30 years old. This is why my father in law (Bob Satko) is running 250 miles in benefit of the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund. Bob is currently running the race now. He started Thursday morning and ends Sunday morning at 6 am. As of now he has ran 150 plus miles. We have raised over 10,000 dollars for the Fanconi Anemia Research fund. We would love to get his story out there more and raise more awareness. We have set up a donation page where people can view a video, donate and learn more about the race and cause.

We have also set up a facebook page to give updates of how Bob is doing and how far along in the race he is now.

The story has been published in the Covington Maple Valley Reporter already ( but we would love to raise more awareness for Blake and let people know about this story as much as possible. Bob is currently running the race still but I can be contacted at 206-794-8062. I thank you for your consideration.
