Eddie Rose - Lending a Pedal for a Nickel

1830 Mile Bicycle Ride for Diabetes Cure

Eddie Rose, a 2008 Minnesota Bethel University Grad, is riding his bicycle from San Diego CA to Vancouver Canada to raise money for Diabetes Research. The ride is being done in his grandfather's honor, who died from the disease on January 2nd of this year. The ride is 1830 miles.....he has approximately 160 miles to go and is currently in Washington. He has had quite an experience including running out of daylight on day one and sleeping in Union Station in LA, getting stuck south of the wild fires along highway 1 and having to take a train to safety...etc. He has raised approximately $4500 of his goal of $10,000. All the information on his ride and his experiences to-date is available on his website:
www.rosiespamperedpuppies.com/Edsbikeride.html
Another fact that makes his ride pretty interesting....is that he just started bike riding this spring. The bike he is riding is the first road bike he has owned, and this is his first bicycling trip.

Check out his website for more information on the ride, or you can contact his father, Scott Rose, at 507-696-7005.
