Almost there!

Determined To Make It

Just as I woke up at 7:00 this Sunday morning, I looked out the dining room window and saw a sight to behold. A man that appears to be homeless was working real hard pushing a cart filled with aluminum cans up the real steep street adjacent to the house. There are easier ways around, yet this gentleman chose the hardest way.

At a time on such a day when the majority of Americans are presumably still asleep, there are those who cannot afford such luxury. This rings true especially for those who are down and out with the basics of life. Being long unemployed while searching hard for a position within the corporate world myself especially being deaf, I cannot help but be grateful for the roof above my head, the support of those around me, and the food and bed available. Yet this sight puts it in a whole new perspective.

Here's to those out there who have not given up, working ever so hard at overcoming whatever life throws at you! Thank you to the unknown gentleman for injecting the determination to make it spirit into my Sunday morning!
