Pictures of our crumbling deck

We have bad decking

Herb Weisbaum's story on bad composite decking material was very timely. We have noticed our deck, with decking material purchased from Home Depot in June 2005 is starting to crumble. I have attached photos as Herb requested. Thanks Komo problem solvers!

Uh, "Resident" please note they said COMPOSITE DECKING MATERIAL. This is not WOOD and doesn't need to be sealed. It's nearly maintenance-free and as the blogger states, Herb did a piece on a recall by LP. Thanks for being the "expert" here.

Umm...you did properly seal your deck right? ... I knwo some folks install a new deck then don't seal it as often as you should and this kind of damage can occur too...not always the materials fault when you don't maintain it as u should
