(Poulsbo, Kitsap County) Poulsbo Fire Department, Washington State Patrol, and the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office responded at 2:36 am this morning to the Hood Canal Bridge for a one vehicle collision. Units Arrived to find a Saturn Sedan with massive front end damage from a high speed head on collision with the mid-span concrete guardrail. The driver of the vehicle was found lying on the roadway. The male driver was treated at the scene by Poulsbo Fire personnel and then flown to Harborview Medical Center for possible internal injuries. The incident blocked both lanes of State Highway 104 for approximately thirty minutes. Washington State Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
