For Halloween, Maddie and Annie here decided to dress up as War Weenie and Iron Weenie, inspired by the comic book superheroes, Iron Man and his buddy War Machine.
Their costumes were good enough to be published. They appeared in the Halloween issue of the pop-culture magazine Wizard. The issue is #205, dated November 2008, though it hit newsstands in late September. You can find them on page 2 in the table of contents and on page 26, the first page of the 17th Annual Halloween Costume Contest held by Wizard Entertainment. Maddie and Annie have the distinction of being the only 4-legged contestants this year.
Though they don’t read Wizard magazine, since they are dogs, they were happy to be featured in that issue. At least it’s payoff for wearing silly costumes, which they surprisingly, aren’t a huge fan of wearing them. They did get many treats for their efforts. However, don’t expect them to be trick-or-treating this year!
