Germany Dec2007. Time is suspended waiting for Daddy to awake.

Its not everyday that we are struck with reality. Today I take the the opportunity to share the miracle that is my husband, Michael. Last November my life was changed with one simple ring. Hearing that Mike was injured was nothing compared to seeing him injured. Mike suffered from shrapenal fragments in his brain... the results are endless. It has been a journey like no other. There is no way to express how grateful I truly am to have him in my life. On this day that we honor our soldiers in uniform, a day that before now I somewhat overlooked, I thank all our veterans. I love you Mike!

Thank you for sharing and reminding all of us what our soldiers put on the line each day to serve our country. May God bless you and heal your wounds.

I want to thank you and your family for your sacrifice. As a mother of two whose father is in Iraq this story hits home for me.

Thank you to your whole family for your sacrifice from my whole family. We are better people for reading what you are going through. Your loyalty as a wife is remarkable. Again, all I can say is thank you.

I just want to commend you on being a loving, loyal wife. While I never agreed with our politicians putting soldiers lives at risk with a questionable war, I've always been in awe of the people who chose to serve. Take care of yourself.

Thank you for this reminder. The reality of war is a tough one. Thank you to your husband for his service time for our country and to all the others who are serving or have served. Without all of you we wouldn't have all our freedoms.
