As adventures go, this one had it all. Me and six friends decided to test the weather, and ourselves, and do our annual fall backpacking trip up to Summit Lake in Mt. Rainier National Forsest. Many of our family and friends told us that we were crazy to go camp at that elevation with the impending storm of last week. We thought otherwise and boy were we rewarded with some of the most spectacular views I have ever seen. The weather turned out to be gorgeous on Saturday November 8th. A short hike from camp is a large peak that gave us a 360 degree view of the southern Cascade mountain range. We snapped many photos with the miracle of digital cameras and these are just a few. Hope everyone can enjoy these snapshots of our trip and hope it serves as motivation to get people outdoors. We sure are glad that we did!!!
Crazy to camp at 5,000ft in Nov? NAH!!!
