The Snohomish River passes swiftly behind the city center, drawing some who would come to watch the power and spectacle of nature on their doorstep. The popular walkway along the river is submerged, so this hiker is left to stand and watch the power of multiple merged rivers and streams, now flowing swiftly as one, an unstoppable force on its way to the Sound.
