Christmas Wish

Hello ,

To start off I want to say I love listening to you all day and all night, My kids re enjoying all of the Christmas music you are playing. My name is Christina Miller I am a 26 year old single mother of 3 wonderful kids, Talia is 8 Mikayla is 6 and Paityn is 5 months, all girls. This year has been very rough on our family. I was working for a airlines company and had been there for many years, making decent money to get my family by. When the first big hit to me came in October, My grandmother my best friend had a heart attack and was rushed to the ER and underwent a procedure that put her into a coma. The Dr. told us she wouldn't make it through the night, about an hour after he said that she opened her eyes it was a miracle. She stayed at Valley Medical Center in Renton for a few weeks and was transferred to a nursing home where she stayed for another month. She needed someone to be with her at all times in order for her to come home. My grandmother is the Backbone to out family so I quit my job got out of my lease packed my kids up and moved into her home to take care of her. About 3 weeks ago she was rushed back to the hospital when she couldn't catch her breath. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and had blood clots in her lungs. i am so scared to lose her and I am doing everything to keep her strong.
Since all of this has been happening I haven't been feeling all that well myself, so I made my self a Doctors appointment. I went in and found out I have Graves Disease, my doctor told me this usually happens in Women that are in their 30's and 40's, Well I am only 26 so it is very scary. On December 11th and 12th I have to get radioactive treatment to try and get my thyroid back into the correct working mode, this is a step below chemo and my kids cannot even be around me for 4 days because of the radiation. This is a very crazy disease, my hair is falling out I cannot sleep and my hands will not stop shaking. I have had to get help myself since my muscles are so weak. My 5 month old went to stay the night with a friend since I haven't been able to hold her that much, when she was over at my friends home, her 8 week old kitten bit her finger. The next day when my daughter was dropped off I brought her straight to the ER. and the rushed her in a ambulance to Children's hospital where she was admitted. Her pediatrician said cat bites are terrible and she had a bad infection. her finger had swollen 3 times the normal size. With all of this going on I don't know where to turn it seems like things are getting worse and worse.
I receive $650 a month for taking care of my Grandmother and that barely covers the bills, my grandmother gets $620 a month social security but they take $100 out for life insurance and $54 out for her medical. Our rent is $1000 a month for a 3 bedroom home that 5 of us live in. We will not be having a Christmas unless a miracle happens. I am asking for any help possible from you, my favorite station.
Please help with our Christmas wish.

Thank you so much

I thought she said she moved to her Grandmother's home? Not to be rude, but how was her Grandmother paying the $1000.00 monthly rent on $500.00 to begin with? Sounds funny to me. There is every type of help and asst out there for her and these kids.

I would definitely recommend applying for services at dshs.wa.gov. You can apply for food, cash and medical assistance online.
