Every year I spend every weekend after Halloween getting ready for my Holiday display. This year the Port Gardner Neighborhood Association in Everett decided to put on a lighting contest. My house was the winner of the Tim Taylor Award for going way above and beyond. Besides all the lights it is also set to music. The night of the contest I spent 2 hours outside in a Santa suit waiting for the judges. What happened was everyone that drove buy waved or stopped with there kids so they could visit with Santa, good thing Santa had candy canes to give out. All the neighborhood kids came out and also visited with Santa and took pictures. It was a great night and will become a new neighborhood tradition. The judges of the contest also loved it. Santa pushed the display over the top.
