Partway through a day of blustery arctic weather that kept most of inside, my wife and I decided to take an adventerous walk in the wind and chill. A walk to the Blue Ridge beach north of Golden Gardens following the 18 December snow storm inspired the creation of this unlikey scene of a snowman near the surf. The 'scarf' is made of eelgrass, nose from driftwood, and eyes of sand pebbles.
