Snow began falling in Granite Falls early last week and temperatures remain in the single digits. It makes for beautiful photos, but don't stay outside too long! A reminder to everyone to provide a warm dry place for their animals to sleep, preferably inside. Don't forget to break the ice off of the water bowl every once in a while; extra food is a good idea since animals burn more calories keeping warm in low temperatures; and it is not a good idea to travel with your dog in the back of the pick-up truck or leave it there while you are inside nice and warm. With the windchill your dog can easily freeze.
