Our family cat, sabastian has always been a lazy spoiled cat. One thing is for sure, he HATES cold weather! Since the winter storm(s) has hit, he is ALWAYS inside the house. In the summer, he always catches and (sadly) eats the sparrows and robbins we have in the backyard. He is definetly a sylvester and tweety cat. But in the snow, the birds have the advantage...
Mom likes to set out bird seeds so we can watch the birds come make a drive by food stop. Since it started to snow sabastian has been cooped up inside the house (on his own will). He watches the birds come and go while sitting on our couch peering through the windows.
Since he can't (wouldn't dare) go out into the frozen tundra, he sleeps and stares out the windows all day long.
One day, he was so determined to get this tiny; skinny bird that was teasing him by sitting right in front of him and cleaning his feathers.
Sabastian finally got fed up with his antics and got really close to the window (paws in Mom's plant and nose-to-nose with the window). He backed up and got ready to pounce at the bird...
Then he figured out that there was a window between him and his wanna-bee meal, AFTER he had already jumped.=]
The family jokes about his dilema. "Hey sabastian did that hurt kitty kitty?" and we all laugh!
I don't think he will try that again any time soon!
