Picture of a crater formed from falling ice off power lines

Freezing rain in Aberdeen

The pictures show the amount of freezing rain that we got overnight and this morning in Aberdeen WA. The powerlines have up to 1 inch of ice on them. The large chunk of ice under the transformer shows how dangerous something like that could be falling on someones head. The impact crater in the solid ice covered snow shows the damage that could be done. A winter wonderland? More like a winter nightmareland.
