We began joking with our neighbors out at Crystal Lake that we should have a snowman contest with the nearly 2 feet of snow we have. Shortly after, our neighbors did indeed build one of the most perfect “frosty the snowman” snowmen. We couldn’t top that so we went for a different tactic! Thus began our journey of our "rubber ducky" on the dock. While I plugged away on my computer, working from home, my husband Jonathan decided to get a workout in, shoveling yards of snow down at the end of our nearly 100 foot long dock. By almost nightfall he came back in for the finishing touches. I couldn't tell what it was from the house. He then explained he built it facing away from our house so the neighbors across the lake can enjoy it. His last items needed were food coloring and some slate for the eyes. We took a normal spray bottle of water and food coloring; the rest is all his talent. And our latest as of today, one of our neighbors is working on a giant rooster!
