(Poulsbo, Kitsap County) Crews from Poulsbo Fire Department responded to a call for a vehicle into a building yesterday at 1pm in Poulsbo Village, just off Highway 305. The 77 year old Poulsbo woman was uninjured when her Dodge sedan drove approximately 5 feet into Dahlquist Jewelers, breaking through a 10 ft by 10 ft glass window. The woman stated she thought she was putting on the brake when she pushed on the accelerator. Battalion Chief Chris Morrison said, “We are very glad no one was hurt. There was an electrician inside the building standing on a ladder, the vehicle landed just 5 feet away.” Official damage estimates are unavailable at this time but appears to be limited to the window, a display case, some furniture, and a small brick wall. Poulsbo Police are investigating the incident.

Thats what happened in Sequim a few months ago when a 76 y/o woman and her husband drove into the Pizza Factory 1 month after it was built. Her excuse was, she used accelerator instead of the break, oh and there car was brand new too. LOL

I agree with none. I see a lot of the elderly driving worse then kids do. They drive really slow and don't seem to remember what they are doing in some cases.
