Finally, the comet is high enough that I can stay up late and see it rather than waking up early. I'm a lazy astronomer (or just sleepy?).
The comet was very low in the sky when I took this, but will be getting higher. Closet pass to the Earth will be on Feb. 24th, when it's approximately 38 million miles away.
