Is it spring yet? Apparently not! On March 8th, just 12 days away from spring, Seattle experienced yet another blow from Old Man Winter. With dropping temperatures and rumbling charcol clouds making their way in, it seems as though Punxatony Phil wasn't lying!
As seen in the picture and video, a short, yet unexpected winter storm hit the West Seattle area that afternoon. Just outside of the West Seattle YMCA, hale started falling around 6:00 P.M. Though it wasn't long or all over the area, it was a real surprise. "I thought we'd get snow, but hale? Weird!" Said Alisha Dacus, 17, of West Seattle. She and her family had just recently moved to the Seattle area from Texas and are definitely having to adjust to the change in weather.
Everyone is wondering when spring will finally come, but for now, keep those hats and mittens handy and expect the unexpected!
