My name is Leanna Zimney, My son Michael Zimney was your hugest fan. He had your radio station wake him up in the morning before school and watch the news morning and night only on you channel. Michael passed away April 2, 2009 from a blood clot to the lungs due to a knee injury. We had planned to contact you before the funeral but never had the oppertunity. Michael was an amazing kid there were over 200 people at his service students, educators and administrators from all 4 Bellevue schools he attended as well as librarians for several branches of the KCLS. He inspired so many people, you see Michael was diagnosed with autism at age 2, nobody ever expected him to achieve as much as he did. He was main streamed in the 3rd grade after attending special needs programs. He then attended Highland Middle School where he earned tons of academic awards and made friends for the first time. At the time of his death Michael was a 4.0 student at Interlake High School. Interlake High students and administrators we're so inspired and touched by Michael's talent, smile, laugh and dedication they are planting a tree Wednesday April 22nd at 1pm on the school grounds in his honor with a memorial plaque. I was informed of this by his principle Sharon Collins. We we're wondering if you would like to cover this story I know Michael even post-humously would enjoy being in the news. For any further infromation please contact me at 425-577-8966 or 425-502-8033.
Thank you,
Leanna Zimney

Sorry for your loss. Hearing how well he did in main stream classes will certainly be an inspiration to other parents of special needs/autistic kids. Hang in there during this hard time. I'll send my positve thoughts your way.
