Wednesday afternoon around 4pm, an elderly Shelton woman was attacked by a dog, possibly a pitbull, as she took her snouser out for a walk. The woman was riding a Little Rascle type scooter because she could no longer walk, when a large dog set upon her snouser. She had the leash wrapped around her arm for security, but sadly that just made her more vulnerable. After killing her dog, the attaking dog savaged the woman, causing her to have a heart attack. A passing neighbor beat the dog off and called for help, but the woman never regained consciousness. She was pronounced brain dead Sunday and life support was terminated.

Ugh, this was not a pitbull. Maybe you should research before posting a story. Only seems intelligent to me. And learn to spell. Or use spell check. Jesus.

Maybe a bit more research here as well as spell check. Geez

Snouser?

Couldn't have been any other kind of dog. Nooo way! Love my pitbull

First I heard about this story. Is it for real?

Its a real story. But it was a golden lab that did the vicious attack. People are so willing to make assumptions it makes me sick. Seriously? According to the KOMO news story the woman was just bitten in the hand, not "savaged".

wy would a dog do that

Condolences to the family of the victims. As with every dog attack, had the dog in question been neutered, exercised, socialized and properly contained (NOT CHAINED) this would not have happened. Once again, I'm sure the dog will be killed.

sunshinemaker_77 Snouser? Maybe it was a Schnauzer.

Me and my dog were attacked in Bellevue twice this month by pitbull mix, owner went camping leaving her unneutered 75 lb. "puppy" with tenants who were unable to control the dog. Police were reluctant to file a report; who goes camping w/o their dog!

was a lab! so tired of pits getting bad rap! nothing but media perpetuating fear! i have 2 female pits and they are socialized, exercised, disciplined and loved greatly! this is 3rd time owning pits and ALL my dogs are people and dog friendly!

It wasn't a pit bull, sunshinemaker_77. It was a gold lab.
