Model Ts race along Rainier Ave. July 12, 2009 9:30 a.m

Model Ts race today

30 or more Model Ts drove along Rainier Ave. So. this morning on their way to the U of W Red Square for the 100th anniversary of the Alaskan-Yukon Exhibit. The antique cars repeated the same route from Ocean to Ocean as they did in 1909. What an honor to see them on the road! Here is a picture I took with my Iphone. I did an antique look in photo shop.

I asked an old friend, Morris Dillow, owner and driver of one of the cars, what he thought the most beautiful part of the country was after driving coast to coast, and he said by far the Yakima Valley.

nice job - other than the light fixtures and paint on the road, this could be 1909....
