Toyota graveyard

They say that out on victor road in gig harbor or also called (powerline) "some people" not exactly sure who takes Trucks mostly toyotas or whatever kind of cars they need for parts or whatever is in demand, But mostly toyotas and its known in gig harbor as the toyota graveyard. So when my boyfriends truck got stolen we have been scouring these back roads.. These roads are dirt roads way back in the woods. Trav is almost positive that his truck was taken back there. cracking this toyota graveyard could lead to many trucks / stolen cars being found and could be a big break in stopping the theft of cars out in the kep peninsula... thank you so much

Here is my story:

My name is Ashlee Bean, This may not be considered huge news and you probley get emails like this all the time asking you guys to do things that maybe you cannot do. But here is my story anyway, and i hope that maybe you guys could help shed light on this subject.

Early Thursday morning or late Wednesday night at mine and my boyfriend travis kisers house in Kep peninsula gig harbor. His 1988 toyota pick up was stolen from our driveway while we were asleep in bed. This was no ordinary truck.. My boyfriend Travis pretty much built the truck. Travis is a hard working man, works for everything he has ever had and anything he will ever have. This truck meant alot to him. He could fix anything on the truck by himself and took pride in it. When we woke up thursday morning to find out that the truck had been stolen it was devistating for him. not only did someone come onto the property to take the truck but they violated our sense of security.

We spent all day thursday walking the woods, riding quads down trails where we believe that people steal cars and take them in the woods to part out and later sell. Unfortunately we did not find anything but a bunch of junk and the bodys of other stolen cars and license plates, and maybe some tire tracks that he believes are his tire marks.

Its so tough to think that someone can just come in and take something just because they want it totally disregaurding that someone worked so hard for every part of that "object" to them. IT may not have been the nicest most luxerious truck in the world but he has had that truck for a really long time spending every spare minute he had in the day to fix things that were broken, improve anything that he could. save money for parts that he needed that were really expensive..

If there is anyway you can help or maybe just put some information out there so that people know what has happend and maybe someone will come forward with information about who took it or where it might be would be amazing. I know it would mean the world to him to have his truck back.

Attached i have a picture of what it looked like in the driveway of our house. and if need be i can be contacted at 2535141395 or by email. Please Please help us...

good luck with the truck. Kep penninsula? Kitsap? is that what you meant, not being rude just wanted to know the right place.

You guys ever drive your truck in Cle Elum. If not, maybe worth a look. Saw one there just a few days ago with the same paint job.

No disrespect not-anon but the club does not work, they cut the wheel and remove it. I will keep my eyes open Ashlee, My Datsun has an alarm and even tho it is a stick, the truck will not start while armed. no matter the make, an alarm is required.

To anonymous...It was probably pride in the military that brought on such a paint job. Not every one can afford an American made truck. People can show American pride any way they choose.LIGHTEN UP!!

Sadly this has happened to me 5 times. I was always lucky to get mine back though with only a few things missing from the inside each time. If you own one of these trucks or even any toyota from the 80's be aware that thay are easy to steal. GL.

Americans like Japanese trucks, especially Toyota trucks. I would be proud to see American military emblems on a Toyota truck, as would many other others.

Dear anonymous, Putting pride before intelligence is always a sticky wicket. Thanks phkna for clearing the fog. Sorry for your loss Ashlee. Maybe use the Club on next vehicle? In the meantime I'll keep my eyes peeled!

I hope your BF finds his truck.

To the first guy Really? That truck i not 100% sure but really close was built here in Fremont, California so just because it's a "Japanese truck" doesn't mean the good ol USA workers didn't make some money making it.

As the owner of a nice '86 4Runner, I always worry about it being stolen. It gets tucked in to the garage each night. Good luck getting your truck back. I'll keep an eye open in Kitsap County.

Anon, you're an idiot. Go jump off a bridge and cry to mommy.

Sorry for your loss, but possibly since you tried to make a Japanese truck look like a US military truck, that could be the reason! I am a proud American and resent what you did to my countries military symbol.
