Hot air balloon lands in neighborhood!

As I'm driving down the road today coming home from the store I see a hot air balloon descending into my neighborhood in Snohomish. Cars are distracted and confused wondering why the balloon is so low right over a neighborhood. Luckily the balloon was able to land safely on an open piece of land behind a playground.

In case anybody cares, a hot air balloon does not have power and cannot navigate to a formal airport. Thus, a balloon, during an approach and landing, must come close to the earth. In this particular case, it sounded like a balloon landed properly.

Donna, are there more car crashes per trip than hot air balloon crashes per trip? You can't just count the number of car crashes!

Cars crash more often than hot air balloons. I gues SuziQ will never ride in a car either!!

This is why I will never ever go up in a hot air balloon! At least it landed safely!
