A parked car burst into flames on the 7900 block of 226th Ave in Edmonds, Washington on Monday morning. Nearby residents reported seeing the car smoking and calling 911 and while on the phone saw, “red embers falling on the ground.”
By the time the Edmonds fire department had responded the car was full engulfed in flames. Traffic in the area was diverted while the fire was extinguished and the scene was cleared. No one was injured by the fire, and the owner of the vehicle was not at the scene. The car was a total loss.

Well so much for getting the story right. The fire was on 224th - not 226th.
