there is a large community of people, mostly on youtube, building vehicles from the most mundane and unheard of things. its an interesting story i think, and filled with interesting people. rpeed has built a car from various bits, my freind 1963impala is building a truck right now. and my frankentruck uses such things as fenders and a hood for the back of the cab, industrial shelving for a pick up bed, an air tank from a locomotive, and other various odd ball parts.
