Around 10:30am the entire outside of my house was covered with swarming bees. They were so loud just like in the movies. I called 911 who put me through to a professional bee man. It seems that when a new queen bee is born the old queen bee leaves the nest. To show appreciation for the old queen the bees all follow here for 2 -24 hours. This is what was happening this morning. It seems when the bees are doing this they are at there calmest time. They are filled up on honey (enough to last them 2 days) so as the bee man said “basically they are high as a kite and have no energy to sting you unless you go hit them with a stick or something.” The bee man is coming around 4:30pm to remove them.
